PAYMENT:

I accept PayPal, credit card and debit card payments. 

Payment must be made in full and have cleared before the item is shipped. If you are having any issues with Payment please do not hesitate to contact me and I will assist you in any way that I can.

SHIPPING:

I ship to the address provided as the "shipping address" at checkout. PLEASE MAKE SURE THE INFORMATION IS ENTERED CORRECTLY to ensure accurate delivery of the pieces. If you realize you made an error in your address, please contact me as quickly as possible. 

IMPORTANT: If the post office returns a parcel to me unopened, by no mistake of my own (marked "return to sender","moved- address unknown" etc. ) a refund will be issued & the item(s) resold. 

All orders are shipped via USPS first class & First class international mail within 3 business days. I don't charge shipping for orders within the United States, but I do charge a $15 flat rate shipping to all orders outside the US. If you'd like upgraded shipping, please contact me to make arrangements. An email will be sent to you with a tracking number or customs number for tracking. 

Most orders are packaged in little felt blankets and tucked in kraft jewelry boxes with my logo. If the item is shipping directly to a recipient as a gift, please let me know and I can fancy up the packaging a little and include a note at no additional cost to you. 

Please go to The USPS website to track or via the postal service website for your country. Shopify's tracking will not show international parcels once they leave the United States.

 

REFUNDS/EXCHANGES:

If you are unhappy for any reason, please contact me within one week of receiving your order.

Customers with items that are lost or damaged in transit will be given a replacement of the same item.

Customers seeking refunds must return the item to me in it's original, undamaged condition within 30 days, (90 days for international customers) before a refund will be issued. I do not offer reimbursements for return shipping or customs fees. 

 

What are the little wire loops embedded into your pendants? 

They are nichrome- a common alloy used by ceramicists due to its ability to withstand extremely high temperatures. If you have a severe nickel allergy, it may be a problem for you. I am working on redesigning pieces to remove this metal. 

 

AGE RESTRICTIONS FOR USE: 

My items are intended for adult collectors. Though cute, they are not meant for small children, as they're a choking hazard, and broken pieces may be sharp enough to cause injury. Please gift responsibly for the safety of your loved ones. 

 

HANDLING & AFTERCARE:

These pieces should be handled with care. Avoid wearing in highly chlorinated water. Please remove the necklace before bed to avoid damaging the piece while you're sleeping. 

Because gold is a soft metal, and only a thin layer is painted on the ceramic, care must be taken to preserve the life of the gold. Pieces with gold should be treated like fine china. Avoid contact with abrasive materials or chemicals. If you're like me and tend to fidget with your jewelry, avoid prolonged fidgeting with the golden areas. 

To clean: gently polish with a soft jewelry cloth. Do not scrub.

 

Can I visit your studio?

Finished pieces are perfectly safe (Dinnerware safe technically) but some materials and equipment used in the production of pottery are extremely dangerous, and come with the most terrifying hazard warnings I've ever seen, so I follow every suggested precaution. Because I don't have enough safety equipment for you, I prefer to keep customers out of my workspace.

 

Do you take custom orders?

Yes and no. I have a listing for a custom pet portrait, which I offer in limited quantities when I can, but I don't offer custom necklaces or totems in general. While I would love to make everyone a totem of their pet cuddling a baby unicorn, I simply don't have the time. I receive thousands of custom requests, and to make every request I get in a month, would take me years. I ask for suggestions on instagram from time to time, so if you wanted a blue cheetah with gold spots, or a really fancy narwhal or something, and other people want the same thing, I may make a batch or add it to my lineup.

 

I try to get an item, but everything sells out too fast. Can you reserve one for me?

You remember the thousands of custom order requests I get every month? I get about the same number of requests for reservations. Instead of having to pick, who gets an item and who doesn't, I leave it up to you. Whoever gets here first and checks out, gets the pieces. I try to vary my listing days and times to give all Small Wild fans a chance.

 

Will you notify me once you have x item in your shop? 

I get so many of these requests that I can't notify everyone individually, but I have shop updates about once a week, and I announce them at the top of my instagram profile

 

I had an item in my cart and tried to check out with it, but now the item says it's sold out. Why isn't the item held for me once placed in my cart? 

Shopify doesn't hold items that are sitting in carts. The item is only yours once the transaction has been completed. 

 

When will my order ship? 

All ready to ship items are shipped within 1-3 business days. On pre-order or custom pet portraits, please allow up to 6-8 weeks before shipping. I endeavor to beat this turnaround time, but ceramic is a careful, time-intensive process, and I have to account for order volume. If you're on a deadline or unsure of when your order will ship, don't hesitate to contact me. 

 

I'm an international customer and I just received my order. Why did I have to pay an additional fee to get the item released to me? 

All imported goods have to go through your country's customs department, and are subject to customs fees. Customs fees are taxes levied by your government on imported goods. The amount you're charged is decided by your government, and 100% of the money from those fees goes directly to your government. I have absolutely no control in this manner. 

Some places (EU, I'm looking at you!) have exorbitant customs fees, so it's good to keep this in mind when you're shopping online. Some people have had to pay fees as high as 30% of the original cost of the item. It's pretty crazy. 

 

Will you mark my items as a "gift" on the customs form, so I don't have to pay customs fees? Can you mark the customs form with a lower value so I can avoid a customs fee?

It can't be done. It is mail fraud to falsify a customs form, and to do so carries a penalty of up to $10,000 fine and 5 years imprisonment.

Are your pieces safe for children? 

NO. My pieces are not toys. They are breakable, and may have sharp edges if broken. The small size may pose a choking hazard to small children. Please do not purchase for your little ones. 

 

Are you on social media?

I'm on instagram. You can see a lot of my works in progress and creative plans there. It's my favorite social media platform, so I'm there every day.
